Lake Bled is a beautiful alpine lake located in the northwest of Slovenia. It is located near the city of Bled and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. The lake is known for its picturesque beauty, complemented by high mountain peaks, a medieval castle and a church on the island.

Lake Bled Lake is an Alpine glacial lake that was formed in a depression hollowed out during the Ice Age. The lake is about 2 km long and 1 km wide, with a maximum depth of about 30 meters. The water in the lake is extremely clean and boasts an intense blue-green color, which is one of its most recognizable features.

In the middle of the lake there is a small island called Bled Island. On the island stands the beautiful Church of the Assumption of Mary, known for its baroque architecture and historical significance. Visitors can access the island by traditional pletnas, small wooden boats rowed by a special oar called a "river man".
